The Space Shuttle "Discovery" is the centerpiece of the James S. McDonnell Space Hanger.

During Discovery's 27+ years of service it launched and landed 39 times, gathering more spaceflights than any other spacecraft to date for a total mission time of almost 366 days.

Discovery deployed 31 satellites including the Hubble Space Telescope.

Above the Discovery is a Tracking and Data Relay Satellite. The first 6 were deployed by Space Shuttles.

Each of the shuttle's 3 main engines is 14 feet long and 8 feet in diameter.
